I certainly enjoy viewing this website every few days.
Keeping up to date on things and learning quite a few things along the way.
Interacting with other likeminded people is great!
The fact that people occasionally disagree is to be expected as were all individuals
with our own opinions.
I suppose as long as people dont abuse each other the occasional disagreement is to be expected.
Are you thinking of shutting up shop KC2000?

Hey Bruce,
Well, even though this is my first post, I'd have to say I am a fan. Yep, definitely keep the thing going. It's just great to be able to see what people in the world of Ned have to say about so many issues. And even if a few occasionally get worked up about some topic or other, at least there's plenty of healthy debate happening.

Hey Bruce, you probably know me better than anybody and if it was not for this forum then I would not ever meet the likes of Joe, Sharon etc who make the story even better when you show them some of the sites for the first time, Joe's face at Stringy when we walked into the shootout site will forever remain with me.
Sure everybody has an opinion and a right to it, it shows here on this forum that the interest in Ned and the boys is alive and well. Again I wonder if people are using this and other forums for the wrong reasons so commonly brought up in various posts. Getting information on sites and now being able to pretty much get directly to those sites both for the wrong and right reasons I guess is part of modern day internet life.
Its your call Bruce, I know how much work goes into this site and that people probably take it for granted, I would be sad to see it go.
Tim.

G'day Bruce, I hope you keep the forum going. There is always more to learn about the Kelly story and this is a great place for picking up snippets of information and for finding out about planned events by all of you interested in the Kelly's. If I did'nt live on the other side of the continent I would have been up there at Stringybark with you the other week! Maybe next time - if that's OK.

Close down the forum? Perish the thought!! I'd be lost without it. It serves so many valuable functions. If there wasn't a forum, someone would have to invent one! And hello to Chris Hanneberry who just posted on this thread for the first time. For those of you who don't know Chris, he is yet another of those wonderful Kelly fanatics who make the world go round..

Hi Bruce and all,
Yes, keep this forum alive and well I say.
Although all of us will never agree on certain topics and issues raised on the forum, I feel that this site is very important, in that it provides us with a fresh alternative to other sites that normally wouldn't give some people the time of day.
This site has proven (along with glenrowan1880, ironicon, joe online and Ned Kelly's world, for example) that there certainly is room for more, and that those who know their stuff will venture here, where their opinions and queries can be expressed freely, and everyone has the right of reply. Both Glenrowan1880 and this forum are updated daily - providing us with fresh content all the time. For example, Glenrowan1880 was the ONLY site (to the best of my knowledge) that provided us with a detailed report on the commemorative dinner this year.
The traffic through this site is amazing, to say the least. It is a very new site, and has a rather obscure domain name. Of course, this only proves that people are searching for it, and once they are here, they stay.
It is obviously very clear that this forum is THE place to be. Congratulations Bruce. Bruce is a great mate of mine and Nic's. We know how much time and effort has been put into this site. It takes a good man with a lot of tenacity and genuine passion (and a heapin' helpin' of diplomacy!) to get a site like this happening.
I URGE ALL OF YOU TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING THIS FORUM. Those of you who are new to this site, or visit regularly without leaving your details, please make yourselves known. This will help keep the forum fresh and interesting for all of us.
Beware of expensive-looking imitations!!!!
Matt.

Matt, well said! You have to keep coming back here to Bruce's forum and to Dave White's glenrowan1880 if you want to know the latest in the world of Kellyana or you could be waiting around for months. I don't imagine that it's easy finding the time to regularly update these sites everytime new info comes to hand but Bruce here and Dave, at glenrowan1880, have certainly created the benchmark and set new standards that, so far, no one else has come close to. I have not had the opportunity to meet Bruce but you only have to read what others have written about him to see that he is well liked and respected. I have had the pleasure of meeting Dave White and I can not speak highly enough about the bloke. They both, no doubt, have a genuine passion for this part of Australian history and quite obviously love sharing their extensive knowledge and enthusiasm with us, mere mortals! It's much apreciated, particularly by us that that live a long way from Kelly country, thanks fellas, and please keep going! Dave Brown.

Thanks for the vote of support, is always good to hear positive feedback now and again. The amount of work involved is indeed great but I know by the amount of visitors, both regular and unique that it is of interest to many out there. I have slowed down somewhat and am not updating the site every day, every second one perhaps.
It is also important to note that I have lots of help and encouragement from online mates.
My opinion (for what it is worth) is that there can never be enough ‘Kelly’ sites, some may not be my cup of tea however all are listed on my links page and may that list grow. As with the Kelly books we need lots of variety and give people the opportunity to work out what they like or dislike.
We all have our opinions and disagreement amongst us is nothing new, there has been times when I have had my blood pressure rise due to comments I have read on this forum. I guess that is what a forum is all about, so long as none of us go so far as to cause Bruce to pull the pin as he has almost done several times. I know Bruce and I am sure he does not wish to see people argue, he wants us all to learn and discuss.
The difficulty is often simply that as with e-mail the meaning (or tone) can often be difficult to deduce from what is written. Dave White.
PS, Davo, ‘The cheque is in the mail’ lol

Hi all,
I regularly monitor the forum, and am always interested in what is going on. I don't always post, but that does not mean that I agree or disagree with what is said.
I would like to see the great debates continue, as long as it is the point and not the person who is debated.
Everyone should have their own opinion, and to be challenged is healthy.
As has been pointed out, the eyes of the world are upon all that is written, so your words become part of history.
The story belongs to everyone, both family and the world now. We can and must co exist with each other. There is certainly room for both.
Anything that encourages people to pick up books, research archives or just talk to others about the subject of Ned and the boys is a good thing. There will always be different ways of looking at things, and I believe if we all respect that then this forum will be long lived.

Hey all, I think Noeleens comments above pretty much some up everything that is important to all Kelly fans, co existance between both family and the rest of us mere mortals. Without this site ( and maybe Dave & Bills) the story would be a lot less interesting, it would be nice to get it back to how it was back in the beginning...
An information board where all the different Kelly shows, movies, trips, BBq's, dinners, book reviews etc could be and was discussed openly and freely so any body new to this story could then make up their own minds on which info they would then pursue.
Well said Noeleen....
Tim.

Dear Bruce,
I agree with everything that has been said, and I see a great future for the Forum.
There are only about 12-15 people contributing to it at present, but there are many more accessing it. And as more and more people discover the Forum and get used to using it, the greater will be the contribution made by those new arrivals.
I personally will be raising a lot of issues next year when I have finished building my new home, (a project which has taken me nearly six years to complete), as I will have more time to spend on such things.
Keep up the good work, not necessarily for me or anyone else, but for the memory of "Ned".
Regards
Gary J Dean

thank you all,
I will be posting some simple guide lines on what this forum is to be used for,
along the lines of information interchange and the structure of acceptable posts in threads, and during debates it is the topic and not the person who is debated.
.
I want to keep this forum as open and free as possible, remember the eyes of the world are upon what you write,
